The main problem i see from software patents is that it do not allows the new skill and other competitiors,all we have is one single organisation holding the whole thing and if this happens the commercial business even won't expand and lot of small business organisation will be affected,which inturn limits the number of job production and limits the economy growth.

IMHO, software is like any other document stored on a computer, only different. Software is a series of instructions, practically written word, the form or "language" doesn't matter whether it's bytecode or Java source.

Furthermore, as I understand patents is that it works around a single ides that preforms a single task that is not apart of an already present system. (once again as I understand)

I'm thinking of going into a different career (never being an official developer before), because I'm afraid of being involved in any patent litigation.

And I strongly believe that following the law should be easy. Requiring a lawyer just to develop software whether you're Bill Gates or a small do-it-yourself programmer is absolutely ridiculous.

Programming is easy, figuring out the law is practically impossible; I simply can't understand how many of these things work.
